Russian-Americans in Brooklyn hopeful after Trump-Putin summit

"It sounds like it's utter nonsense", Putin said.

Gov. Scott Walker took a different approach when FOX6 News asked whether he agreed with President Trump, who said Monday during a joint news conference with Putin that "I don't see any reason why" Russian Federation would have interfered. "I'm pretty sure President Trump has plenty of political rivals", Putin said.

'I'd like to say I'm shocked but this is the world in which we live now'.

"So I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today, Trump told Lemire".

Trump's remarks have drawn fire from Democrats and Republican critics in Congress.

Putin noted that Russia would expect the U.S.to return the favor and cooperate in the Russian probe against William Browder, a British investor charged of financial crimes in Russia. The Russian foreign ministry tweeted back: "We agree".

House Speaker Paul Ryan, the top Republican in Congress, said Russian Federation undoubtedly interfered in the 2016 election.

And in a press conference Monday with Putin at his side, Trump dismissed his own intelligence chiefs' conclusion that Putin himself oversaw the effort to damage Trump's Democratic election rival Hillary Clinton. But then he went on to say that "these hackers that are being discussed" had hacked into the Democratic National Committee and found "information about manipulations conducted within the Democratic Party to incline the process in favor of one candidate".

Mr Trump held his meeting with Mr Putin just days after a special prosecutor in the USA indicted 12 Russian agents for stealing Democratic Party documents to help him win the vote.

President Vladimir Putin says that Moscow and Washington could jointly conduct criminal investigations into Russian intelligence officials accused of hacking during the 2016 USA election campaign.

Putin spoke after a summit with U.S. President Donald Trump in Helsinki on Monday.

"We don't have anything on them, and there can't be anything on them", Putin said.

According to them, during the press conference, trump did not say a single critical word about Russian Federation on the issues that led to the deterioration of relations between the two countries. He says he ran a "brilliant campaign and that's why I'm president". The United States must be focused on holding Russian Federation accountable and putting an end to its vile attacks on democracy.

"What he did is an incredible offer". I think we've all been foolish.

Trump "delivered us here with a display of cowardly self-interest", Cuomo said, but this ended up bringing people together.

"We should have had this dialogue a long time ago".

The US government also sought Russian government help through a mutual legal assistance treaty, but according to a court filing this month, "no further steps have been taken within Russia to effectuate service". Well, whether or not you believe that Russian Federation meddled in the 2016 election or not, the Federal Bureau of Investigation very much does - which means that Trump is actively and publicly siding with Putin over his own agencies. But several Republicans who don't typically buck the president raised concerns, shocked by Monday's performance.
