Woman helps man short on cash, finds out he's Keith Urban

It turns out he was a country music superstar.

Urban stopped at a Wawa in Medford on Friday ahead of his scheduled performance at Camden's BB&T Pavilion, where a local woman stepped up to pay for his snacks, New Jersey 101.5 FM reports.

Ruth Reed was trying to do a good deed when she offered to help a man pay at a Wawa who didn't have enough money.

According to Page Six, for the last three years Reed has had a resolution that, once a week, she'd buy groceries for a fellow customer at the convenience store, making this random act of kindness simply part of her weekly routine.

A substitute teacher, Reed said she and her husband had resolved to help Wawa customers when they could.

That's when she realized he looked familiar.

California wildfire declared 'largest in state's history'
Authorities say it was triggered by the "mechanical failure of a vehicle" that caused sparks to fly in tinderbox-dry conditions. The Carr Fire has burned 163,207 acres (66,048 hectares) as of this morning and is 45 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

"It looked like he was using a card and it didn't go through", Reed to KYW-TV.

Ruth Reed bumped into Keith Urban at Wawa and didn't recognise him.

"He said 'Ruth, I'm Keith, ' and I said 'That's who you look like, Keith Urban. Do people ever tell you that you look like Keith Urban?' And he said, 'I am Keith Urban, ' and I said, 'No you're not really?" said Reed of their conversation. "I asked where Nicole [Kidman] was and who was the lady [he was with]".

"Yes and then he said "That's my sister we can ask her" and I said 'Okay I don't think she would lie to some old lady'". Still, she managed to snap a photo with Urban.
