In wake of book, Trump calls Omarosa 'a lowlife'

On Saturday, reporters asked the president while on his golf course if he felt betrayed by Manigault Newman: "Lowlife". She is set to appear on NBC News' Meet the Press with Chuck Todd Sunday and Monday morning on Today where she might speak more about her book and Trump.

Manigault Newman also alleges that allies of the president tried to buy her silence.

US President Donald Trump has one word to describe former White House staffer and fellow reality-TV star Omarosa Manigault Newman: "Lowlife".

Manigault Newman also claims Trump repeatedly uses the racially offensive N-word, including on an occasion when he was taped, and has threatened to reveal the names of illegitimate children he has allegedly fathered.

Manigault Newman's book also alleges how Trump made a farcical effort to sell copies of his book Trump: The Art Of The Deal at his inauguration as President in January previous year.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from overseeing the investigation, thus putting Rosenstein in charge. Either way, he said, such a power move would have to wait until after Kavanaugh is confirmed by the Senate.

Newman also reportedly wrote she heard Trump use other racial epithets to refer to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's husband George, who is half-Filipino.

Trump, she said she'd concluded after years of defending him, was a bigot. Apparently, she's got some secretly recorded audio of Trump that she's already shared with her close friends and will release in her book, which will be called Unhinged.

"Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations", said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The Washington Post reports that a White House source confirmed that the former Apprentice contestant walked in on the meeting and that she was told off for it.

Manigault Newman went on to become Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison.
