Agent says Dedryck Boyata 'won't risk future' by playing for Celtic

Alan Brazil has slammed Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata and called him "a disgrace" after it's been rumoured that the Belgian defender has declared himself unfit to travel to Greece for Celtic's huge Champions League qualification match with AEK Athens this evening.

The Belgium global is not part of the Bhoys' travelling party for Tuesday evening's match due to minor back complaint and ongoing uncertainty over his future.

Lichtenstein also said: "Entering the last 10 months of his contract, everyone understands that he can not put his career at risk by playing even slightly injured or at 95 per cent. Dedryck can not put his future and his family's future in danger by playing without being 100 per cent".

Fulham have also shown interest and had a £9million bid turned down before the Premier League transfer window closed, leaving Boyata and his agent furious.

While Rodgers has hinted that Boyata is not willing to play, as he eyes a move away before the European transfer window shuts at the end of August, Boyata took to Instagram to emphasise the fact that he is injured with his post saying, "Unfortunately, I could not play because I'm not yet 100% operational".

The Argentine peso sank to an all-time low amid investor caution and a corruption scandal involving former government officials. Energy and industrial companies took some of the worst losses, while technology companies held up better.

"He is a player that we would have loved to have here with us".

"Dedryck Boyata should be grateful Celtic gave him the opportunity to play... while he has some good attributes he has been a bombscare at times", Sutton wrote on Twitter. We have to put the faith in the squad of players that want to be here and want to fight for the result and that's my focus, really - on the players that we have.

He said: "It is an internal matter now".

"It's disappointing some of the comments of course but we'll deal with it internally. That's my only consideration at this moment".
