Michael B. Jordan In The Running To Replace Henry Cavill As Superman

Cavill is reportedly finished as the Man of Steel, with unnamed studio insiders telling The Hollywood Reporter that he won't be donning the signature DC Comics superhero's cape and tights again.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros. said, "We have a great relationship and great respect for Henry Cavill that continues to remain unchanged". According to one insider, the studio is now focusing on doing a Supergirl origin story starring a teen Supergirl, which would call for a younger actor playing Superman.

Warner Bros. issued a statement saying it hasn't decided on Cavill's return. Just looking at a clean-shaven Henry Cavill, it's hard not to picture him with those red and blues with an S shield on his chest. These angles apparently include introducing the female version of Superman into the franchise, and possibly even changing the race of Superman himself.

"Whether the Man of Steel gets melted down and rebooted or replaced in the current Universe, there are surely going to be some big names jostling for the role", said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Warner Bros.' focus now is "Supergirl". Henry Cavill is a talented actor, but he's a bit too old to play Superbaby (I have a sinking fear that that is an actual thing somewhere in a Superman comic).

Yedlin to referee after Neymar foul
The Americans were missing their top player, 19-year-old midfielder Christian Pulisic, who has an unspecified muscle injury. Neymar , who now plays for France's PSG, converted the penalty with a soft shot to the left as Steffen lunged to the right.

As for the other members of the most recent Justice League, Gal Gadot is still expected to reprise her role on Wonder Woman 1984, set to be released in November 2019.

But his departure doesn't mean that Warner Bros.is shelving the character, as Clark Kent could potentially appear in the studio's developing Supergirl movie or in his own solo film down the line.

A stand-alone "Batman" film was also once to star and be directed by Ben Affleck. He recently starred with Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible - Fallout", which is now the highest grossing installment in the series.

Earlier today The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that negotiations between Cavill and the studio had broken down.
