Juve midfielder Douglas Costa was sent off in stoppage time after spitting at Federico Di Francesco having become involved in a running feud with the Sassuolo midfielder.

Cristiano Ronaldo netted a brace to guide Juventus to a 2-1 win over Sassuolo in Serie on Sunday afternoon.

Juventus have won their first four Serie A games and will now turn their attention to their first Champions League group-stage game, which will be away against Valencia on Wednesday. It was ugly, I am aware of that and I apologise to everyone for that.
