Liverpool outclass Spurs to maintain 100% record

Liverpool, who finished as runners-up in the Champions League last season, were forced to settle with a fourth placed finish in the league last season, which they secured during the final weekend of fixtures.

Souness said afterwards Spurs are "standing still" in the Premier League while he thinks Liverpool have their best side since they won the title in 1990.

Erik Lamela scored a late goal to set up a nervy finish but the Reds held on for three points.

"I want to say that Liverpool deserved the victory but if you analyse the game, there are some key moments like the goal that we conceded".

Liverpool can cope without Mohamed Salah scoring.

The latter two will start the game at Wembley while Fabinho will start the game from the bench.

Vorm, again replacing the injured Hugo Lloris, punched away James Milner's corner and Eric Dier headed it clear, but Wijnaldum scored from a header in the 39th minute after Vorm caught it behind the goal line.

Former Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks signs with Seahawks
Per Schefter, his sentencing has now been pushed back to January, leaving Kendricks available for the regular season. This move is a just a temporary one, however, as Kendricks faces sentencing for his crime on December 18.

But former Spurs midfielder Waddle believes the best is yet to come for Jurgen Klopp's men.

Firmino then got his name on the score-sheet, soon after the interval, as the Brazilian tapped-in Liverpool's 2nd, after some more sloppy defending by the hosts.

It should have been 3-0 after the hour as Mane delayed his pass to Naby Keita and Vorm pushed the resulting shot over.

There was one, three-second-long example in the first half when he exchanged a series of passes with team-mates, making short runs into space, the move eventually breaking down when left-back Danny Rose failed to find him as he he sprinted towards the left flank.

"The issue will be monitored and treated by Liverpool's medical staff at Melwood before any decision is made on whether Firmino will be able to figure in Tuesday evening's Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield".

Liverpool avenged last season's 4-1 defeat to Spurs at Wembley to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League.
