Steelers imploding as WR Antonio Brown doesn't show up to Monday's practice

Steelers imploding as WR Antonio Brown doesn't show up to Monday's practice

Those issues were doubled this past Sunday, when Patrick Mahomes lit up their defense with six touchdown passes in a 42-37 Chiefs victory.

He has had a tough time as of late, as he also threatened to punch a journalist who wrote an unflattering story about him.But for now, Brown seems content in Pittsburgh.

"The tweet yesterday was not in reference to anything other than Antonio responding to a person he knows", Rosenhaus said.

But if Brown is serious about wanting a trade, then we can only imagine the chaos that will take over the NFL. "I'm not going to get into the details of why he wasn't here or whether or not he was excused".

This isn't the first time they've had to deal with an outburst from Brown, but the fact that he took to social media and didn't bother showing up to work could make this an even messier situation for Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. The report says there's been no confirmation about whether he was given an excused absence but indicates that multiple sources did not know where Brown was.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are winless through the first two weeks of the National Football League season.

Antonio Brown #84 of the Pittsburgh Steelers reacts after a 33 yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter during the game against the Green Bay Packers at Heinz Field on November 26, 2017 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'll address that and address that very directly with him, but I'll leave that between he and I. There have been a couple of instances now where you've asked me about Antonio regarding some social media-like things.

Tomlin said he won't comment directly on player happenings on social media, which features "gray area" and "very little accountability", but he made clear players should be held to a higher standard. I just don't believe it's appropriate. "I think he enjoys being here". We'll see how things play out in the coming days.

On Monday, Brown fired off a response to Twitter criticism from a former member of the Steelers PR staff that he wouldn't be much without Ben Roethlisberger, saying "trade me" so we can all find out. That's frustration associated with not playing well and not winning. "That's just how I choose to approach it". I understand all that.

If not, we're not going to take a risk because he missed a lot of games and we have a lot of games to play. Spurs will have Heung-min Son available after his lengthy stint on global duty with South Korea.
