Tour Championship: Ways to watch FedExCup finale on Sky Sports

The points structure for the regular season and the first two events will remain the same (awarding quadruple points compared to FedExCup Regular Season events) but instead of a points format for the Tour Championship, the player who is ranked first will begin the four-round tournament at 10-under par.

Next year's schedule has been significantly modified, with the Tour Championship ending the week prior to Labor Day and the playoff events shortened from four to three. FedEx last year agreed to a 10-year extension, and the bonus pool for the postseason now is $60 million (along with $10 million in bonus money for the regular season). This year, Dustin Johnson had the most points in the regular season by 83 points over Thomas.

The top 125 players after the Wyndham Championship will compete in The Northern Trust, with 70 qualifying for the BMW Championship and the traditional top 30 contesting the title-deciding Tour Championship. The second-place player will be 8-under, third 7-under, fourth 6-under and fifth 5-under.

The next five players would be at 4 under, with players 11 to 15 at 3 under, 16 to 20 at 2 under, 21 to 215 at 1 under and players 26 through 30 would start at even par. DeChambeau was in control of that event, so Rose figured he did well to win "the other tournament".

QUOTES: Defending FedEx champion Thomas comes into the Tour Championship with a wrist problem, but he insists it is not a major worry.

To use Reachability on modern iPhones, you need to place a finger at the bottom of the display and quickly swipe down. But for less than half as much, you can still get a good camera, a decent-sized screen and other popular features.

Victory at the 30-man finale would net the Queenslander nearly $US1.6 million, while he would also pocket a $US10 million bonus should he pull off the inconceivable and become the first Australian to win the FedEx title. "And we have no doubt it will create a compelling, dramatic conclusion for the Tour's ultimate prize".

It's a "seismic shift", said the Commissioner, adding that the TOUR first started the process in early 2015 after identifying ways to improve the FedExCup competition. Or you could have the best 72-hole score and not win the tournament. Xander Schauffele held on to win the tournament, but Justin Thomas took the FedEx Cup trophy to cap a breakout season. "Getting that time off and getting some rest and just trying to get this thing healed up and feel good as soon as possible coming into Thursday was important".

"It's going to be different for sure".

"I just kind of tweaked it on the back nine of BMW and it's more precautionary than anything", Thomas said. That part's a little bit of a bummer but we're just going to see how it unfolds and hopefully it turns out well. "Hopefully, and I'm sure it will, it will produce a lot of great drama and a very deserving victor".
