China Tells the USA to Stop Criticizing Beijing's Policies

Since Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un met in Singapore in June, US-North Korea relations have stalled.

Following the visit to North Korea - his fourth - Pompeo said Kim had also agreed to arrange a second summit with Trump to take place "at the earliest date possible".

Pompeo declined to comment whether there was progress on a shutdown of the Yongbyon site.

Dismantling of the facility began in May, according to North Korea, but worldwide observers have not been allowed to examine the site to verify claims.

North Korea's Punggye-ri nuclear testing site, located inside a mountain near the border with China, has been the site of all six of the country's nuclear tests.

Despite public criticism from analysts that the US has obtained little on the disarmament front, Trump and his team point to a lack of nuclear and missile tests since late previous year as signs that their strategy is working.

The other is the Punggye-ri nuclear site that Pyongyang said was destroyed in May, though it only invited journalists to witness its destruction. The statement did not provide further details.

He met with Kim in Pyongyang and South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Seoul, both on Sunday.

The visitors took advantage of the profligacy, doubling the advantage with 57 minutes played after Hazard was tripped by Ings. Eden Hazard has so far made nine appearances for Chelsea this season and he has already clocked up seven goals.

In response, Kim had "expressed his will and conviction that a great progress would surely be made in solving the issues of utmost concern of the world and in attaining the goal set forth at the last talks", North Korea's state-run news agency KCNA reported on Monday, adding the talks were "productive and wonderful".

Trump, tweeting from Washington shortly after Pompeo left North Korea, cited progress Pompeo had made on agreements Trump and Kim reached at their June summit in Singapore and said, "I look forward to seeing Chairman Kim again, in the near future".

But it did not mention any inspection-related issue.

However, there were no plans for him to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which was seen as a sign of worsening relations between the two powers.

"Recently, as the USA side has been constantly escalating trade friction toward China, it has also adopted a series of actions on the Taiwan issue that harm China's rights and interests, and has made groundless criticism of China's domestic and foreign policies", Wang said at a joint appearance with Pompeo.

North Korea has called on the United States to actively engage in talks on declaring an end to the Korean War, which was halted in 1953 with an armistice, not a peace treaty.

The North has accused Washington of making "unilateral and gangster-like" demands on denuclearization and has insisted that sanctions should be lifted before any progress in nuclear talks.
