Google Pixel Slate new leak hints at detachable keyboard, stylus

However, it is still not sure whether or not Google will launch the Pixelbook 2 in the upcoming event. In a new teaser for tomorrow's launch, it's sewing the seeds of doubt around the idea that we have, in fact, seen everything the search giant has in store.

You'd be forgiven for stifling a yawn when Google announces the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The charging stand will work through wireless charging, and when your device is on the stand, it will turn into a smart display mode kind of like Google Assistant's Smart Displays to display information at a glance.

The Pixel 3 XL is a largeish phone with a notched display like the iPhone XS and OnePlus 6; the smaller Pixel 3 has no notch, but top and bottom bezels on the screen. But now full images of the device have been shared by MySmartPrice that reveal a lot about the tablet.

As with many smartphones, the Pixel Slate specs have appeared in Geekbench (via Phone Arena) well before the devices have been made official. That's courtesy of the Google Pixel Slate, a new, Chrome OS powered tablet that would be the company's first.

Google Assistant can now help book rides from Uber, Lyft, and others
Google said that this new Google Assistant service will only support the English language during its rollout. Google Assistant is now capable of booking rides from numerous most popular ride-sharing services.

Lastly, we're expecting to see new and improved Google Pixel Buds according to highly credible tech leaker Evan Blass -- hopefully completely redesigned after the first generation's poor reviews, but we'll have to wait to find out. Apart from running his own consulting firm. The Slate has a slightly higher resolution, but can't match the 120Hz refresh rate of the iPad Pro. Thanks to MySmartPrice and the search giant's United Kingdom online store (via ChromeUnboxed), we have official-looking renders of a collapsible keyboard and a new Pixelbook Pen. It is possible that Google will show their take on smart displays with a Google Home Hub. Here's what we know is coming on October 9 and what we have a hunch about.

In addition to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL, Google will also be unveiling the Google Home Hub, which will compete against the Amazon Echo Show smart speaker. Looks like Google will have no secrets to reveal at the launch event. And while Pixel phones are great devices with exceptional cameras, it's likely that Google needs something else up its sleeve to keep up with the likes of Samsung and Apple.

The Pixel Slate comes with Chrome OS and supports the Google Pixelbook Pen. The notch in the Pixel 3 XL is also reported to be bigger than any other smartphones with the same screen format.
