Apple exterminates several bugs with today's release of iOS 12.0.1

There's now no word on whether iOS 12.0.1 fixes the bug that caused mediocre LTE speeds on iPhone XS devices, as it wasn't listed in Apple's release notes.

Fixes an issue where some iPhone XS devices do not immediately charge when connected to a Lightning cable. There were also some sporadic reports of older iPhone and iPad models experiencing the issue, which suggested that it was a software bug in iOS 12. It may be recalled that many users who bought the new iPhone XS had complained that their phones would not charge when in sleep mode.

If you haven't downloaded iOS 12.0.1 yet, or are still looking at the available updater on your device and are wondering if it is even worth your time going through the process, then you can find all of the relevant information about the update above.

WWE also announced earlier in the night that John Cena will be competing in the tournament. The four legends will meet in a tag team match at the November 2 show.

The patch notes for the iOS 12.0.1 update also point to corrections for a number of other bugs, including poor Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth problems. Apple switched the position of the key with the one for emoji/language in iOS 12. Whilst Android users are generally blown away when they receive a firmware update, iOS device owners just accept it as the norm.

Fixes an issue where subtitles may not appear in some video apps. Finally the update is also fixing an issue where Bluetooth could become unavailable for some users.

The update is about 157MB in size and if you don't set iOS to Auto Update, you can download it under Settings General Software update.
