Jimmy Butler Swore At Timberwolves GM, Challenged Teammates At Heated Practice

The insane thing about the Butler situation is that he may end up suiting up for the Wolves in their season opener, despite the fact that he hasn't been with the team at all for weeks.

The Timberwolves reportedly were close to making a trade with the Miami Heat during recent talks, but the deal fell apart.

Jimmy Butler was in the building for the Minnesota Timberwolves' practice session today - and he reportedly "left teammates and coaches largely speechless" as he dominated the gym in every way.

Butler had previously been excused from training camp and preseason games as the team dealt with his trade request. Could we see a blockbuster trade?

Ashwin ran through the tail on a pitch offering plenty of turn, ending with four for 37 in 11 overs as the West Indies were all out in 48 overs.

The Miami Heat are pressing the Minnesota Timberwolves to keep talking and eventually finalize a trade centered on Jimmy Butler, according to a report from ESPN. Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor took a different stance and told owners owners at the National Basketball Association board of governors meetings that "Butler is available, and prospective suitors should contact Taylor himself", according to Wojnarowski. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Butler was "determined to find a way to the Los Angeles Clippers" and was looking to pair with a second All-Star in the 2019 free agency class. "Yet Taylor balked. Numerous teams have complained in recent days that [Tom] Thibodeau and [Scott] Layden are acting like two men who really don't want to make a deal". The Athletic made the outlook of a trade sound grim, however. He averaged 12.9 points in 81 starts last season.

Remember, Karl-Anthony Towns wouldn't sign his max contract extension until the Butler situation was resolved, and when the Butler trade request first leaked Andrew Wiggins' brother sent out a celebratory Tweet.

The T-Wolves' first game of the season is on Wednesday when they visit the San Antonio Spurs.
