Richard Branson claims Virgin Galactic will be in space

British entrepreneur Richard Branson said his company Virgin Galactic will conduct the first space flight in the coming weeks.

Virgin Galactic has its sights set on launching the first-ever commercial space tourism service, with chairman Richard Branson insisting his effort could be up and running in a matter of months. And then we will be in space with myself in months and not years, ' he said.

However, Sir Richard has not been deterred by Elon Musk's firm, and instead are using SpaceX as a pace setter in the private race to space.

To reach the Karman line, a spaceship has to cruise at an altitude of 100 kilometers above sea level.

Keep an eye on the sky this month, as Virgin Galactic gears up to finally take its first trip to space.

What they, and the other 750 people on the list are hoping to get in return, is the extremely rare opportunity for a weightless experience out of Earth on a round-trip flight that will last just under four hours.

Branson said the proposed $250,000 price tag of a Virgin Galactic ticket would allow those who dreamed of visiting space to lift off in larger numbers. Despite the $US250,000 ($350,834) price tag, however, some 800 people have bought Virgin Galactic tickets since they went on sale almost 15 years ago.

I don't like Fed raising interest rates so quickly, says Trump
In September, the Federal Reserve raised short-term interest rates for the third time this year. But he's also calling the drop "a correction we've been waiting for for a long time".

Mr Branson, who is busy getting himself into the "best physical shape" of his life as he prepares to be a space traveller himself early next year, draws some similarities with the start of modern aviation more than a century ago.

According to the businessman, "The market for people who would love to become astronauts and go to space is enormous".

We'll believe it once we see it; we've heard these sorts of predictions - and gone through a seemingly never-ending stream of failed timelines - many times before.

Branson will travel to space.

Once Virgin Galactic successfully establish its commercial trips to space, Branson plans to reduce the price of the ticket to around $40,000 Dollars in the next ten years or so.

Smiling Mind CEO Dr Addie Wooten said: "As little as a couple of minutes of meditation can improve our overall sense of calm and wellbeing during a flight".

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' spaceflight company Blue Origin is expected to launch a mission into space by 2019.
