Watch The First Teaser For Disney's New Live-Action Aladdin Movie

Film by film, Disney is going through your childhood favourites and remaking them in live-action - and next year will bring three new takes on their animated classics. The very first look at the live-action "Aladdin" debuted on October 11, and it looks incredible.

With the first poster now out in the wild, it shouldn't be long before we get a glimpse at those Arabian nights in a trailer - and the film is set to hit United Kingdom cinemas on 24 May.

We just started shooting Aladdin and I wanted to intro you guys to our new family... Aladdin, played by Mena Massoud, goes into the Cave of Wonders and discovers the Genie's lamp. We've been waiting a long time to see Will Smith's Genie, but he wasn't in the first look footage. It shows his character's lamp, with a message: "Choose wisely".

Trump says he's spoken with Saudis at 'highest level' over Khashoggi
White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders added that the U.S. would continue to inquire about the fate of the journalist. But she also implored "President Trump and first lady Melania Trump to help shed light on Jamal's disappearance".

Will Smith, who will play Genie, shared the poster on his Instagram on October 10. With nothing else to go on, I'm not sure if I'm excited for not, but I would like to see Will Smith acting all insane as the Genie. Aladdin plans to uses these wishes to win over the lovely Princess Jasmine, but the evil Jafar has other plans.

For the animated version, the voice cast included Robin Williams, Scott Weinger, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Gilbert Gottfried, Jim Cummings, and more.

Aladdin hits theatres on May 24, 2019.
