Celebs ignore Eugenie's 'no social media' policy at royal wedding

ASSOCIATED PRESS Sarah Ferguson arrives for the wedding of daughter Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, near London, England on Friday.

"Wearing white or any shade of white to a wedding is commonly considered a huge no-no, even more so for a royal wedding", she said.

Later, Jack drove Eugenie away from Windsor Castle in style, wowing his new bride with a silver DB10 Aston Martin sports auto.

Watching in the historic 15th-century chapel of the castle were the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, and more than 40 members of the royal family including the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Earlier this year, after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry exchanged vows in St. George's Chapel, the duchess changed into a modern Stella McCartney gown for the couple's intimate evening celebration at Frogmore House.

No, really. The bride's sister, Princess Beatrice, read a passage from the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel and the Dean of Windsor mentioned it in his homily.

Eugenie's dress, by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos who founded the British-based label Peter Pilotto, was designed deliberately with a low back to reveal scars from surgery she underwent as a child.

Previously there were reports about the company working on its second smartphone as well as a smart home speaker. Rubin denied claims of sexual misconduct and took a brief leave of absence from Essential last November.

The dress features a low back that shows off her scoliosis scar.

Model Cara Delevingne wowed in her black tailored suit with tails, tie and top hat.

"I'm patron [of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital's Redevelopment Appeal] of their appeal and I had an operation when I was 12 on my back, and you'll see on Friday, but it's a lovely way to honour the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this", she told Britain's TLC. "I was here for Harry and Meghan's wedding, I wouldn't miss it, I love the atmosphere".

The Duchess of York's post-married life has been plagued by scandal, including cheating allegations at the time of her marriage, bankruptcy fears, rumoured rifts among her former in-laws, and a press sting where she was caught on camera negotiating access to her husband for a hefty fee. Prince Charles' wife, Camilla, missed the wedding because of other commitments.

After the ceremony, the happy couple waved to well-wishers during a carriage procession through Windsor, before heading to their afternoon reception hosted by the Queen.

Security around Windsor was tight, with airport-style checks and a heavy police presence.
