With the new Pixel smartphones launched yesterday which according to Google offer "The best Camera on the world's most helpful phone", here's Razer a day later with its new smartphone which is also acclaimed to be a gaming phone.

Razer (confirmed) Phone 2 is now powered by Razer Chroma.

Speaking of the back of the phone, new this year is an RGB light in the shape of Razer's logo.

The Razer Raiju Mobile gaming controller is more accurate than onscreen controls and it adds more functionality than they can provide. The glass panel rear panel also enables wireless charging feature on the phone.

The Raiju is a new controller created to work with most Android phones. Dimensions measure 158.5 x 78.99 x 8.5 mm. For a fee, you can purchase various accessories for your smartphone, for example, a wireless charger for $100, a leather case for $40 and protection for a display for $20. It has a different color for individual notifications.

Razer Phone 2 also comes with IP67 certified water resistance, and has an illuminating Razer logo at the back.

Razer has ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack but it has powerful front-firing stereo speakers at the top and bottom of the display.

In Australia, the Razer Phone 2 will be officially sold through JB Hi-Fi from early November. The phone is available only in single color, Black.

The new Razer Phone gets an impressive 5.7-inch IGZO LCD screen with Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440. The phone offers around 72.0% screen-to-body ratio and 514 PPI density.

Along with the display quality and gaming performance, Razer is also talking up the Phone 2's camera setup. The second lens is 12 megapixels 2x telephoto lens with f/2.6 for depth effects. The phone has a massive 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via micro SD card slot.

On the software side, the phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with popular Nova launcher on top.

As for the camera, it features dual lenses with dual Sony IMX Sensors.

For starters, the latest model is equipped with a new 12 megapixel dual-lens camera system. You can shoot 2160p video at 60fps. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera. If you prefer plugging in a USB-C cable, Qualcomm QuickCharge 4+ will allow users to charge the phone from a flat battery to 50 percent charge within just 30 minutes. Where its predecessor was benchmarked for 10 hours of battery life at a screen refresh rate setting of 90 Hz, the Razer Phone 2 is optimized to also last 10 hours at a higher 120 Hz [1]. The phone has a new vapor chamber cooling system. It made by the server grade materials. The connectivity features on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C port.

The company launched the Razer Phone 2 Mirror Glass edition at $799 price tag in the U.S market. Pre-orders are available now. "With the Razer Phone 2, we have pulled out the stops to define flagship and gaming on our terms".
