Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson reportedly call it quits

Davidson reportedly spent $100,000 on the engagement ring and joked about their relationship in last month's Saturday Night Live season premiere.

The couple reportedly decided that this wasn't the right time for their relationship to take off in a significant way, but still have love for each other and aren't ruling out the possibility of re-igniting their relationship at some point in the future.

Ariana and Pete announced their surprise engagement earlier this year in May - just a few weeks after they were reported to be just casually dating. A source told Page Six that the black heart matches one Grande recently had tattooed on her body, although the source did not say where the tattoo is. They also moved in together during the summer.

Grande was open about experiencing anxiety and PTSD after a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured more than 500 in a terrorist attack at the Manchester show of her Dangerous Woman tour in May 2017.

The celebrity couple has split and called off the engagement, sources told TMZ.

Grande is reportedly going through a hard time of her life, having tweeted that she needs a break from the spotlight. TMZ was first to report the news.

The "No Tears Left to Cry" singer was supposed to make her onstage return on Saturday after staying out of the spotlight since the rapper died in September.

'I believe in us and all, but I just want to make sure that she can't go anywhere, ' he said during an appearance on SNL.
