Meghan Markle Announces She's Pregnant With Her & Prince Harry's First Child

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have some happy news to share with the world - the couple are expecting their first baby.

Congratulations poured in for the thrilled couple, with Prime Minister Theresa May offering her "warmest congratulations" and the Archbishop of Canterbury, who married Harry and Meghan, saying: "Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their happy news!"

The Royal Tour Down Under has just got even more exciting with confirmation Prince Harry and wife Meghan are expecting their first child.

Scotland's Evening Express was one of the first in on the act deciding that if Harry and Meghan "went classic, something like Alice, Mary, Elizabeth or Victoria for a girl, and Philip, Frederick, Charles, Arthur, Edward or James for a boy are possibilities".

There will be much suspense amid the royal baby fever as to what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will call their baby.

The royal duo have 76 engagements across 16 days in Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, which will include Sydney, Dubbo, Melbourne and Queensland's Fraser Island.

So, let royal baby mania commence, and all the baby name sweepstakes commence, we feel like it was only the other Kate was pregnant with Louis!

Emerging from a media briefing at 6.45pm on the eve of the Royal Tour, I couldn't contain my excitement as I saw the statement from Kensington Palace confirming Meghan Markle is pregnant.

Their 16 day trip will see them visit Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, before returning to the United Kingdom on November 1st. The sort of behaviour you'd expect from a couple married for seven years who are heading to a family wedding, right?

Meghan, 37, made her name in acting as savvy para-legal Rachel Zane in the U.S. television legal drama "Suits".

Harry and Meghan were Wednesday at Windsor Castle in May and the news was announced on the eve of their first tour outside the United Kingdom and Ireland.
