Woman Seen Abandoning 2-Year-Old On Stranger’s Doorstep In Texas

The woman's vehicle is seen speeding away as the child looks back, apparently confused.

Reporters who were in the neighborhood Thursday spoke to a man who identified himself as the boy's father after recognizing his child from the doorbell video.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says the woman could be charged with felony child endangerment.

The child, the child's father and the woman in the video have all been identified but deputies are still trying to get in contact with the woman in the video to question her about the incident, according to Spencer. He hadn't been home when police first canvased the area.

It's understood the boy's mother, who was in hospital, had texted the boy's father to say a friend would be dropping him off that afternoon.

The woman dropped off the child around 8:40 p.m. after the father left his home; however, the woman took the boy to the wrong house. Instead, she asked a friend to drop her boy off. "Right now we are ecstatic that the child's father has been found and detectives are working with child protective services to reunite the child with the father and the family".

The person who lives in the house where the unknown woman took the boy said they didn't know who the adult or child was. Then, leaving the child and the bags behind, she runs away. Spencer said he is safe, healthy and in good spirits.

The child was not hurt.

The incident took place in Spring, Texas, at around 8:20 p.m. on October 17.

According to Montgomery County deputies, a woman called 911 and said that she found a boy on her stoop after hearing a knock at her door.

The homeowner did not recognize the child or the woman seen in the doorbell surveillance video. The suspect then runs toward the front door of the residence while lifting the child in the air by one arm. She said the 2-year-old boy was standing there alone when she opened the door. "The entire incident was captured on video surveillance and lasted 23 seconds", the sheriff's office said.

China to launch artificial ‘moon’ into orbit to light up cities
However, an expert told the People's Daily that the artificial moon's light shouldn't be so bright that it would impact them. The artificial or manmade moon is a satellite carrying a huge space mirror, which can reflect the sunlight to the Earth.
