Cleveland Browns: Carlos Hyde trade keeps Hue Jackson honest

The Browns' decision to move Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars opens the door for electrifying rookie Nick Chubb, who's flashed major upside in limited action this season.

Hyde signed a three-year, $15.25 million deal with the Browns this offseason and struggled to produce despite garnering 15-plus carries in five of his six games, and 20-plus in three of the six. He's averaging almost 10 yards per carry.

Schefter reports that the Browns have plans to get their early draft pick more involved going forward. Why not go to a running back by committee, what folks in fantasy circles call RBBC. The Jags are dealing with injury issues at running back while the Browns have a glut of young talent in their backfield they want coming to the fore. He never rushed for 1,000 yards in a season due in part to injuries derailing multiple campaigns.

Making Jacksonville's offence even more stagnant, the team is without its top two left tackles, its top two tight ends and its leading receiver from 2017.

Arab allies have rallied to Riyadh's support, but Western pressure has intensified on Saudi Arabia to provide convincing answers. No major decisions in Saudi Arabia are made outside of the ultraconservative kingdom's ruling Al Saud family.

"We need to get him more chances", Jackson said. That's something everyone from Johnson to offensive coordinator Todd Haley to my 69-year-old Browns fan mother in Vermilion has been clamoring for all season.

Chubb is averaging 10.8 yards per carry, including touchdown runs of 63 and 41 yards at Oakland in Week 4.

Hopefully, after all this time pondering just how to get both Chubb and Duke more carries, Hue Jackson finally has a way to get them into the gameplan. I think that is what you were seeing yesterday.
