Google Maps Brings Real-Time ETA ‘Journey Sharing’ to iOS

Google Maps Brings Real-Time ETA ‘Journey Sharing’ to iOS

The feature was recently updated for Android users back in August and now it can be used from an iPhone, as well. But today's update actually makes it possible to share that information outside of the Google Maps app. You start your navigation and tap the up arrow button, and select "Share trip progress".

Finally, Google Maps journey sharing feature is expanding to iOS devices, too. This will give them the ability to see where you are in real time, with constant updates as you progress.

While sharing live locations has been available on the Google Maps app for both Android and iOS since last year, the ability to share your ETA with friends and family was introduced on the Android app in August this year. With this feature you can share your ETA with your loved ones and keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

Half of parents think flu shot causes the flu
Anyone six months and older can get the flu shot at the Public Health Centre or at a pharmacy for those who are five years and up. Those feeling ill should also cover their cough and stay home, to prevent spreading the flu to others.

Google Maps is getting a massive new feature on iPhones today. Moreover, Google announced that the latest update brings support for third-party apps, which means that you can share your ETA across three apps: Facebook Messenger, Line, and WhatsApp. "Once your journey ends, you'll automatically stop sharing your location", Google's product manager Samuel Mclean notes on the company's blog.

Have you tried out this feature yet?
