Jose Mourinho given until Wednesday by FA to respond to charge

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly confided in Ed Woodward about his admiration for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard.

"I would love to have him in Manchester United but I don't think Chelsea will be selling to Manchester United so it's not a problem", said Mourinho during his pre-match press conference. He also has options such as Alexis Sanchez, Fred, Andreas Pereira and Ander Herrera to call upon if needed later in the game.

Mourinho said: "The results speak by themselves".

Mourinho, who has until 6pm on Wednesday (local time) to respond to the charge, would have been free to sit in the dugout regardless at Stamford Bridge, where he has vowed not to "celebrate like crazy" if United score or win out of respect to his former club's fans.

Hazard was part of Mourinho's title-winning Chelsea team in 2015 and last week listed the Portuguese coach as the manager he would most like to play for again.

Mourinho doesn't believe that will happen, but insists the two had a good relationship. "Obviously they are not playing Champions League. He was for the first time the best player of the Premier League with me, so I think the feelings are good". But we actually weren't.
