Spotify is finally testing an official Apple Watch app

Spotify said this week it would offer United States premium subscribers a free Google Home Mini to enable them to listen more easily in their homes, a move expected to cut into its revenues.

The Google Home Mini features a button to turn the mic off completely. You can also control playback, raise and lower volume, and like and dislike songs from the Google Home Mini.

What's the most exciting is it seems like the Apple Watch version of the app will support Spotify Connect, allowing users to control their music on other devices directly from their wrist. That's a handsome saving whichever way you look at it.

She says she's constantly talking and writing while driving, and that she's nervous behind the wheel. "Let go and let God". Or maybe she just likes driving.

Coupled with recent tensions with record labels, Spotify has limited runway for error as competitors like Apple Music and Pandora Media Inc. hope to close in on its dominance. At IFA 2018 in Berlin this year, Google was giving away a Home Mini to anyone who queued and asked Assistant a simple question at its booth.

You'll have to confirm your address to use a family plan with Spotify. Per-month subscription costs and laziness do that job just fine.

Spotify on Thursday revealed it added four million premium subscribers in the third quarter, bringing its total paid user base to 87 million - a 40 percent year-over-year increase. If you have tried this method, let us know how it went in the comments.
