National Basketball Association will televise All-Star Draft in January

While a firm date and specific format for the televised draft has not yet been confirmed, January 30 and 31 have emerged as two potential targets for TNT broadcast.

The NBA introduced a new All-Star Game format a year ago, in which a pair of captains drafted their teams based on which players were voted to the game by fans. For whatever reason, that event wasn't put on TV a year ago. that will change in 2019 when TNT airs the All-Star Player Draft for the first time.

The announcement of the new system was met with excitement last season, but some of that was mitigated by the disappointment that the league would keep the selections secretive.

The format of the new All-Star plan, which was first announced in October 2017, was well received as the top fan vote-getter from each conference selected their All-Star teams, which gave LeBron James and Stephen Curry the opportunity to select their squads from the other 22 All-Stars (11 from each conference).

The league caught some flack last season for not televising the draft.

Firefighters said they had found a man's body, in addition to the bodies of another man and a woman found earlier. Previously, the government said that under the debris may be from five to eight people.

The NBA's second annual All-Star draft will be televised. It doesn't matter if you're first or last, you're 24 of the best in the world at that point in time. The NBPA said the decision to not televise was because there wasn't a consensus among the players who could be affected. I think everybody wants to see it.

Perhaps the most interesting sublot of the All-Star voting is who will win the Western Conference captaincy between Curry and James.

With James now in the West, there's no shot for he and Curry to both be captains again.

Last season, Team LeBron defeated Team Stephen 148-145.
