Prince William Wants Prince Charles to Spend More Time With His Grandkids

The Duchess of Cornwall described in the documentary how Charles was driven by the need to help others, saying: "He feels everything inside, that's why he gets things done".

Speaking as part of a BBC documentary to mark his 70th birthday, The Prince of Wales told filmmakers that he would rein in his public campaigning when he becomes sovereign.

Prince Charles has become well known over the years for his strong views on issues such as climate change, the environment, architecture and support for young people.

As Charles led Meghan to Harry's side during the historic ceremony at St. George's Chapel, the prince turned to his dad and said, "Thank you, Pa".

Although the position is not hereditary, his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who has led the Commonwealth since 1952, said it was her "sincere wish" that he would head the Commonwealth "one day".

"I'm not that stupid", he said.

" I need hardly say that I hope, very much, that I might return before too long". And he's the fittest man I know but equally I want him to be fit until he's 95, you know, going on.

Documentary film-maker John Bridcut, who followed the prince for 12 months, said Prince Charles "bridled a bit" at the use of the word "meddling" and instead preferred to think of his interventions as "motivating".

"I do realize that it is a separate exercise being sovereign".

It youngest child 36-year-old Kate Middleton and 36-year-old Prince William, born in April of this year, was captured along with his mother and "grandfather of Wales", as Prince Charles amusing call Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Charles' wife Camilla also shared the bond he has with her grandchildren. "I think he does have time for it, but I would like him to have more time with the children", said William.

Harry was interviewed for the documentary, which aired yesterday, alongside his brother Prince William who admitted the trait was also one that he had inherited, "I know, I've got serious OCD on light switches now, which is awful", he added. "We could barely even get to his desk to say "goodnight" to him".
