Houston Rockets in talks with Carmelo Anthony over his role on team

Anthony, who was out for the second straight game Sunday night with an illness, is in his first season with the Rockets after one year in Oklahoma City.

D'Antoni added that he's been happy with Anthony's play this season.

His good friend Dwyane Wade took to Twitter to defend Anthony, saying that he was being made to be the "fall guy".

After playing in just 10 games in which he averaged a career-low 13.4 points per, it looks like Carmelo Anthony's time with the Houston Rockets is over. "That's a hindrance ... and we've got to fix that".

With the Houston Rockets at 5-7 to start the season, Carmelo Anthony's role on the team has come under question, with the Rockets struggling to replicate the same offensive success they had last season.

Liverpool still heading in the right direction - Klopp
"We didn't make enough effort; normally you lose the game and this defeat is ugly, because we can do more things". First and foremost, we really have to admit to ourselves a lot of things are better than previous year .

D'Antoni said Houston's problems are definitely not Anthony's fault and agreed with Morey that the outside criticism of him has been unfair.

"What he was doing, Melo's been great", D'Antoni said. The Rockets have a net rating of 11.1 points per 100 possessions when Anthony isn't on the floor, according to stats. It's unfair that there's all this speculation on just one player.

"I know that we're talking about everything", he said. "I understand it he's obviously a Hall of Famer".

"Yeah, that's. I'm sure you can address that with Daryl". The Hawks and Anthony reached a buyout agreement, leading to his deal with the Rockets. "With everybody coming back, it squeezes some things, and then we'll see how it goes".

Despite general manager Daryl Morey decrying speculation on Anthony's future as "unfair", the Rockets could place Anthony on waivers as soon as Monday.
