Jimmy Butler set for Philadelphia 76ers debut; Markelle Fultz in reserve role

The Philadelphia 76ers made an aggressive move in dealing for All-Star guard Jimmy Butler over the weekend, and general manager Elton Brand was well aware of the risks.

Butler is expected to debut with the Sixers on Wednesday at Orlando.

Instead, it was the Magic who authored a stunning 21-0 run to erase a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit.

It looked like he had Philadelphia in position to win twice - first when he hit Mike Muscala for a 3-pointer with 3:33 remaining to make it 104-100 in favor of the Sixers, and then again when he found Joel Embiid wide open on the left wing for a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:20 remaining.

He added, "I don't think I'm a bad teammate, but people get whatever they want to say out".

Turns out, there's been so much an interest surrounding a hypothetical scenario where Butler emotionally devastates one of his new teammates that recently posted a new prop, asking: "Which 76ers teammate will Jimmy Butler make cry this season?" Philadelphia will now hope Butler meshes better with them than he did in Minnesota with Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The good news for players on the West Coast is that they will be able to jump in at 9:01 PDT on November 13. That's because Bethesda will be turning on the PS4, Xbox One and PC servers very quickly on launch day.

The 76ers just traded their winger shooters in Robert Covington and Dario Saric in the trade for Butler, who is notoriously hard on underperformers. "Not one game, but what we can do overall, or just the improvement".

The Sixers have told the media their new starting five for tonight's game in Orlando against the Magic, and Markelle Fultz is not in it. Our model now pegs the Sixers as a team to avoid in the futures market, with a championship probability of just 3.6%.

Fultz's double-clutched free throw against the Miami Heat on Monday renewed the discussion among fans and media over his shooting form.

"When guys go out there and they know how to play basketball, which everybody on this roster does, it's all going to fall into place", stated Butler. Butler pushed back on that assertion Tuesday, pointing out that no player has ever said publicly that he has an issue with the 29-year-old.

"I'm nervous. I'm still a little nervous that it's gonna work out, but I'm excited", Brand said during an appearance on "The Dan Patrick Show", as transcribed by ForTheWin. That's where my energy comes from. "I have to love where I'm at and have a great chance to win a championship".
