You're Reassigned! Trump Does Not Fire Key Adviser Under Fire

The outlet's sources, who shared their insight on the condition of anonymity, also revealed that Ricardel caused disruptions during Melania Trump's trip to Africa.

"The president is grateful for Ms. Ricardel's continued service to the American people and her steadfast pursuit of his national security priorities".

National Security Council staffer Mira Ricardel has been forced out of a job after the USA first lady, who doesn't often voice her position publicly, called for the firing of one of the highest-ranking female White House employees.

But her spat with the first lady's staff over Mrs. Trump's trip to Africa - apparently over seating on the plane and the use of National Security Council resources - seems to have earned her the enmity of the person who may wield the most weight with Trump: his wife. It was not immediately clear what her next position within the administration would be.

"I admire the President and First Lady and have great respect for my colleagues who are dedicated to supporting the President's policies", Ricardel said in a statement to The Associated Press.

She keeps claiming she's an "international criminal lawyer", as if that's supposed to convince them to give her more alcohol . In the video, the woman can be heard saying, "I am working for all your people.for you, an global criminal lawyer".

The first lady asked her husband to fire Ricardel, a rare move in any White House.

As the statement was issued, Ricardel was standing, smiling, alongside President Donald Trump at an event in the Roosevelt Room. The power of the first lady is the relationship with the first man. As Mr. Kelly's hand-picked successor, she has clashed with Mr. Bolton over proposals for dealing with a caravan of migrants from Central America approaching the U.S. Ricardel had previously worked as an undersecretary of commerce and had also held positions at the State and Defense departments.

In addition to having bad blood with various White House staffers, Ricardel was suspected of spreading false, inflammatory stories about people in the West Wing, which Trump reportedly disapproved of, according to the New York Times.

She's regarded as inflexible and obsessed with process, which some officials complain has complicated co-ordination between the NSC and cabinet agencies.

Mr. Kelly, who has held the high-pressure post for almost 16 months, is facing renewed speculation about his job security amid reports of tension between the West Wing and Mrs. Trump's office over staffing issues.

According to The Hill, this "appears to be a compromise solution, since national security adviser John Bolton reportedly fought to save Ricardel, his top deputy". Ricardel had earlier served in previous Republican Administration.
