Sergio Ramos Isn't My Type of Player, Liverpool Star Insists

"Haha! 3-2! Go ahead and talk now buddy".

If reports are to be believed, then Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos may be seeing a move away from the Santiago Bernabeau by the end of the La Liga campaign.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk spoke about Mohamed Salah's injury during the 2018 UEFA Champions League final game, nearly six months after the incident, pointing out how Real Madrid players exploited the absence of the Egyptian winger.

Ramos had attempted to defuse the row in a pre-game news conference, insisting he had no interest in responding to the initial criticism, but Lovren claimed Luis Enrique's side lacked class in defeat.

After the match, Lovren posted a video on Instagram and reportedly said: "Elbowed him good. Buddy! They are a bunch of p*****s".

However, it is Raphael Varane, Ramos' defensive partner at Real Madrid, whom van Dijk most admires.

However, when he chose to tie the knot with the Kareena Kapoor Khan in 2012, the animosity between the exes was long gone. Something along the lines of good wishes, I hope for both of us and something, you know to carry on, I sent it to Kareena.

"He is a great player and I respect what he has achieved but he is not the best, he is not my type of central defender", the Dutchman said. "He is an excellent defender and has already won a lot".

The ongoing debates over the iconic Spaniard have only increased in recent times, and Netherlands global van Dijk has now thrown his opinion into the mix.

Van Dijk added: "Personally, I don't defend the way Ramos does. I try to avoid the kind of situations in which he excels and I don't even try to make sliding tackles".

"Suddenly, Marcelo, [Karim] Benzema and [Cristiano] Ronaldo all appeared at Trent's side and left the entire right side".

'I did think that he and [Domagoj] Vida at the World Cup would struggle, I thought he would give them more problems. I think now he actually seems to be getting better again.
